ROCKWALL (1080 KRLD) - Investigators in Rockwall are on alert after a 13 and 11 year old boy say they were chased through a neighborhood.
This happened between 4:00 and 5:00 pm yesterday afternoon, around Hartman Elementary in an area called Lakeview Summit.
Valerie Royse's son and his friend were headed up to the school to play basketball. On their way, the two boys were stopped by several people in a truck, who offered them drugs. The boys kept walking, but the truck started to follow them down an alley. However, the boys were smart, and shook it off by slipping in between houses.
Valerie Royse called the police immediately, saying this could have had a very different outcome and that other families needed to know what happened.
Rockwall ISD has informed other Hartman Elementary families, and police have stepped up patrols in the neighborhood.
There’s no description of these suspects, but the boys have described their truck as gray with a large black grill guard.
