CORINTH (1080 KRLD) - Police are searching for a man who attacked a Corinth woman while she was jogging during the Super Bowl.

The woman was running just before 7 p.m. Sunday near Lake Sharon when a man approached her from behind.

Sergeant Clint Ventrica says the man pushed her to the ground and tried to sexually assault the woman.

"She was able to scream and get the attention of people having a Super Bowl party. They actually ran after the suspect briefly before he got away," Ventrica says.

The suspect is described as 5’10, slender build, wearing a grey hoodie and black pants.

Ventrica suggests running in well lit areas and if you have earbuds in, keeping the music low enough so you can hear what's going on around you.
