RICHARDSON (1080 KRLD) - Officials say the city of Richardson will be spraying for mosquitos tonight after samples tested positive for the West Nile Virus.
The spraying will start at 9:00 tonight and will wrap up by 4:00 tomorrow morning.
The area to be treated is from Campbell Road and Cullum Street south to Arapaho Road and Coit Road east to Cottonwood Creek.
The city's health department reminds people spraying alone isn't enough. People still need to protect themselves by using insect repellent with DEET and avoid being outdoors from dawn to dusk when mosquitos are most active.
