DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - After 50 years on "Sesame Street," the Muppets are coming to North Texas in July.
The iconic program's nonprofit Sesame Workshop announced a ten-city tour of "Sesame Street" festivals, including an event July 6 at Main Street Garden Park in Dallas. Families will be able to join Big Bird, Elmo and other famous Muppets for what organizers said will be live performances and kid-friendly activities.
In a statement, Sesame Workshop CEO Steve Youngwood said, "As we celebrate our decades of impact and look ahead to the next 50 years, Sesame Street's timeless lessons remain the same: Everyone, no matter who they are or where they are from, is equally deserving of respect, opportunity and joy."
Additional details on each event on the tour will be released at a later date.
