FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A Fort Worth high school has extra security on campus today after a reported social media threat.

The threat was made against Eastern Hills High School.

Fort Worth police and school officials say they learned about it yesterday, but the exact nature of the threat wasn't clear.

Recently, several other social media threats have taken place at North Texas schools.

The threats have often proved to be hoaxes, and in some cases students have been arrested for making those threats or causing false alarm.

It's unclear who is responsible for the threat against Eastern Hills High, but Fort Worth police and the school say they're taking it seriously.
