There's a real problem brewing for the travel industry.
More and more people in this country are basically giving up on any kind of vacations this year. It's not a new phenomenon. People have been leaving vacation days on the table for years, because they worry about missing out on work. But this time, it's something different.
Luke McGrath from Bloomberg says more than 40% say they can't afford to go on vacation.
He also says people are getting more worried about a possible recession and they're more cautious about what they spend their vacation money on.
The ones hit hardest are families. Three quarters of parents with kids under age 18 say they miss out on vacation activities.
