HOUSTON (1080 KRLD) - 20-year-old Eric Black Jr. is under arrest and facing charges for capital murder in the slaying of Jazmine Barnes.
She is the girl who was shot in the head on December 30 while in her family's car at a Walmart Parking lot. Black was arrested early Sunday. Deputies say they identified the suspect based on a tip that was corroborated by their investigation.
Officials say Black "admitted to taking part in the shooting" after he was taken into custody. Investigators had said the case had "taken a new direction" shortly before the charges were announced.
