A man from Texas says he's going to spend his "golden years" at a hotel instead of a nursing home.
In a Facebook post that now has more than 85,000 shares, Terry Robinson from Spring said he and his wife are going to live out their days at a Holiday Inn.
He notes the average cost for nursing home care is around $188 per day, but if he used his senior discount for long-term stay at the hotel, he'd only have to pay about $59 a day.
He added that Holiday Inn has locations all over the country, so if he gets bored, he can always move to another city.
Another bonus: the grandkids can go swimming.
