DALLAS (KRLD) - A 2-year-old Minnesota girl narrowly escaped being run over after she fell out of a car in her car seat.

Fortunately, the toddler is fine thanks to a man driving behind the girl's mother who saw her fall out and rushed to rescue her from the busy street. It happened in Mankato Minnesota, about 80 miles south of Minneapolis.

The child fell out of the car because her seat was not installed properly, something that happens way too often.

The Center for Disease Control reports nearly 60 percent of all child safety seats and booster seats are installed wrong and that reduces their effectiveness. There are professionals available who can help you make sure your child seat is properly installed.
