FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A Fort Worth woman is behind bars, charged with killing her infant daughter.

Back in January, six-week-old Acelyn Rogers died at Cook Children's Medical Center of head injuries.

"The victim had a head injury, and it was probably one of the worst skull fractures that was ever seen from an opinion of a doctor," says Fort Worth Police Officer Jimmy Pollozani.

At the time, Acelyn's mother, Halle Murry, 25, blamed her injuries on her three-year-old son.

Investigators didn't buy that alibi.

"The doctor stated that there's no way that the three year old could have caused this amount of damage to the victim's skull," says Pollozani.

During the investigation, all signs pointed to Murry as the perpetrator.

"Miss Murry was the only adult in the apartment (who) was in care, custody and control of the victim during this incident," Pollozani says.

Murry is charged with capital murder and is behind bars on $250 thousand bond.
