Woman Injured In Dallas Gas Station Robbery

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Dallas Police are looking for a man who stole a woman's wallet outside a gas station on I-35E at Empire Central on Friday.

Police say the woman had gone into the gas station, then stopped in the parking lot on her way out to talk to someone in a car.


During that conversation, another driver came up and grabbed her wallet out of her hand. She struggled with the robber over control of the wallet even as the vehicle drove away.

Police say she hung on for about 200 feet before the suspect hit her and pushed her off the vehicle. The victim skidded for several feet when she landed and suffered some "road rash".

She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police say the suspect was driving a red Nissan Altima. The only description they offer is that he was an African-American male.
