DALLAS (1080 KRLD) -Dallas police say a man killed his wife Monday night at Hotel ZaZa in Uptown Dallas.
Officials say police were called to the hotel on Leonard Street about 11:30 p.m.
The original call was for an argument in a room. Police say the case escalated to a shooting by the time they arrived. They found a 32 year old woman dead in her room.
"I heard yelling," says one man who was staying a few doors down. "There was probably about four police officers yelling at this guy to stay on the ground."
He says hotel management told him and other guests on the floor to stay in their room. Police say the woman's husband killed her following an argument.
"He was on the ground, but he was yelling back and clearly seemed to be trying to get up. It was probably a five or ten minute struggle while they tried to get him restrained," the other guest said.
Police say the husband is now in the hospital, but he was not shot. Charges are pending.
Police say no one else was involved.
