Rainy Weather, People with Umbrellas
BaronVisi/GettyIamges

Here we go again!  Three weeks in a row, our Tuesday –Thursday weather stinks. Cold and wet. Best news - this week's storm system will not be as strong as last week's rain maker.

Areas of drizzle today and tonight will make the roads a bit slick, so slow down a bit, especially around sharp curves! It'll also be windy and colder today with temperatures falling into the 40s by afternoon.

While it may be mild for many locations this morning, it'll turn colder through the day across most locales. There will be a risk for showers and an isolated storm or two. No severe wx is expected. #dfwwx #ctxwx #etxwx #abilene #texomawx pic.twitter.com/Px1IZoSkex

A larger area of rain will move in from the southwest close to noon tomorrow and continue through the evening.  Most will measure around a half an inch with some areas south and east of DFW seeing close to an inch.

Leftover showers will continue through early Thursday afternoon as another reinforcing shot of colder air arrives. This will dry the atmosphere out big time, bringing an end to the rain and slowly clearing the sky by early Friday morning.

After a warm and dry start to the week, big changes are on the way! A cold front has already started moving across the region this afternoon, marking the return of cooler temperatures and increasing rain chances through Thursday. #txwx #ctxwx #dfwwx pic.twitter.com/3Kkvu1mz2y
