From spring to winter this morning, as temperatures have fallen to near 40 degrees!
Factor in the north wind gusting to 25 mph. The wind chill is near freezing. I hope you protected your plants!
Your weather through Saturday will include below normal temperatures and a some rain by the end of the week.
Three things Weatherboy suggests you do during this cold snap:
1). Protect all tender vegetation again Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
2). Bring in your pets at night!
3). Bundle up, especially in the morning!
At least with wind will relax by late Tuesday afternoon, but with that being said, frost advisories may be issued for Wednesday morning. CRAZY, but not TOO crazy, Ironically, today back in 1957, the mercury dropped to 30 DEGREES! That was the latest morning EVER that temperatures dropped to or below 32 degrees in DFW!
Ample chilly sunshine today, clouds late tonight and most of tomorrow will keep temperatures a good 25 degrees below normal for this time of the year.
Highs tomorrow may not get above 50. Clouds exit late tomorrow and a return to a sunny sky for all Wednesday and Thursday. That will warm things up a bit, but it'll stay cool.
Our next weather maker arrives on Friday. A weaker cold front brings a slight chance of showers Friday, but won't be that big of a deal. A stronger system brings better rain chances by late Saturday into Sunday.
Headlines:
- Wind chills near freezing this morning!
- High temperatures 30 degrees colder than Easter!
