Hottest day for a while in the forecast today with readings in the mid to upper nineties. Heat index will be above 105 from time to time.
I'm not expecting any rain across Dallas and Fort Worth today, but there is a slight chance tomorrow and then again on Sunday as an outerband or two could reach as far north as the DFW during the late afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will be cooler due to more cloud cover and increasing humidity.
A break in the rain chances Monday and then a few more late day showers and storms will enter the picture next Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the low to mid nineties.
7-Day Headlines:
- Hottest day ahead today out of the next seven.
- Heat index today over near 105 degrees.
- Slightly cooler this weekend with a few showers.
- T.S. Hanna brings heavy rain south of I-10 in south Texas.
- Scattered storms return Tuesday and Wednesday.
Happy Friday!-- Another humid and hot day for us! A few afternoon showers & storms across the southeast. Clouds will clear tonight! Overnight lows in the mid-upper 70s. #dfwwx #ctxwx pic.twitter.com/JXCfkNRnBk
