Increasing Clouds, Chance Of Wintry Mix By Evening

Very dry air is in place this morning through the afternoon, from the surface to cloud base. But as precipitation continues to fall through the dry air, the column of air will saturate and sleet/snow will start reaching the ground, while cooling the lower levels. The heavier the precip, the quicker the air will saturate, 

Travel may effected due to slick bridges and overpasses, mainly, south of a McKinney to Denton to Decatur line tonight through noon Saturday. Elevated object and some interior roads may become slick form Interstate 30 south.


With the extensive cloud cover, temperatures will not get above freeing util afternoon Saturday. Its a 'HURRY UP AND WAIT" forecast, who wins out, the dry air or the intensity of the precipitation, stay tuned!
