Keep your umbrella handy through the 4th of July. Scattered storms, mainly between 3pm and 8pm are in your forecast. 70% of you won't see a drop each day. Best chance is today.

Note: Scattered showers will pulse up this morning and quickly rain themselves out, mainly south of I-30, More widespread storms with thunder late this afternoon. Threats: 40 mph wind, lightning and brief heavy rain. Nothing severe anticipated and no large hail.

Rain chances shut of Friday through this weekend as we heat back up to near normal readings.

Some of the extended 10-14 day data I was looking at this morning has a couple of cool fronts (NOT normal) by the middle to end of next week. If this happens, storms will be back in your forecast as well as below normal temperatures. Time will tell.
