Say goodbye to the heat index and hot temps DFW friends, and say hello to lower humidity and cooler weather starting this evening!
The cold (cool) front is just up the road this morning and will slide through north Texas around lunch time! The best chance for scattered storms will be just to the south of DFW, but I can't rule our a few pooping after the noon hour. After today, rain will be on a long vacation....at least through this time next week.
The cooler/drier air will be lurking about 6-8 hours behind the lunchtime wind shift. Wind will shift to the north around and remain light until this evening, that's when we'll feel it pick up 10-20 mph, gusting to 25 mph, ushering in the drier air and cooler temperatures.
Readings will be a good 7-10 degrees below normal through Thursday! Enjoy the refreshing mornings and the good hair days ahead, it won't last forever. We heat up and thicken back up into the up coming weekend.
