Lower Humidity Today, Plenty Of Sunshine Across DFW

The severe weather missed north Texas yesterday, but unfortunately, it was a different story across southern Oklahoma and in southeast Texas. Several people lost their lives when tornadoes ripped through their neighborhoods. There were 27 tornado reports across the south yesterday. None in north Texas. My thoughts and prayers go out to all families affected.

Our weather is quieting down today through the weekend and into early next week. A quick warm up today and tomorrow with highs in the 80s.  A pretty strong cold front will move through tomorrow afternoon producing a few scattered showers and storms, mainly east of 75 and I-45. It'll turn breezy and cooler by evening, with temperatures dropping into the fifties both Saturday and Sunday morning. Highs on Saturday will reach the mid seventies, we'll push 80゚ on Sunday!

Next week will start off warm with highs in the low eighties on Monday... Mid to upper eighties on Tuesday. By late Tuesday into Wednesday, chances for showers and thunderstorms may return. Being late April, there' always a chance of some of these storms becoming severe. We ARE 5 and a 1/2 days out from this possible change, and as usual, I'll have updates as we get closer to Tuesday afternoon and evening.

In the meantime, enjoy the beautiful weather… it is the only whether you've got!

  • Lower humidity today.
  • Friday cold front brings a few showers.
  • Cooler and dry this weekend.
  • Warming up into early next week.
  • Next possible weather change Tuesday.
