A pretty quiet and stable weather pattern has returned to north Texas. However, there's a very slight chance for an afternoon or evening thunderstorm tomorrow through the weekend. Mainly between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The best chances will be east and SE of DFW.
Afternoon highs will be in the low nineties, but the humidity will make it feel like the upper nineties.
Scattered showers & a few storms will be possible this afternoon across the southeast. Although severe weather is not expected, locally heavy rain and lightning will accompany the stronger storms. Additionally, the air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive groups. #dfwwx #ctxwx pic.twitter.com/rEWwZZEyQx
— NWS Fort Worth (@NWSFortWorth) June 25, 2020Also, that Saharan dust that's been taking its long trek across the open Atlantic will sneak into the area from the southeast this weekend. This will make for some pretty awesome sunrises and sunsets across north Texas.
Humidity will be the main story for the next 7 days adding at least 5 to 7゚ to the apparent temperature.
Mid nineties are in the forecast for by the middle of next week with heat index values a few degrees above 100.
Stay cool stay hydrated my friends!
Weekend Outlook: Afternoon showers and storm chances will linger through the weekend, mainly east of I-35. High temperatures will be in the upper 80s to 90s, with heat index values approaching the triple digits by Sunday. pic.twitter.com/Zxh4zaD3jy
