A warm, breezy and humid Father's day weekend ahead.
Most of us stay dry until late evening Sunday through Monday morning, then possibly during the late afternoon and evenings Monday-Wednesday. It all depends where the cool front stalls. Some storms will be strong to isolated severe during peak heating (3pm-9pm). Threats: hail, wind, lightning and scattered flooding.
Also, please be careful if you will be out on area lakes. Water levels are high (hidden stumps) and water will be choppy with white caps, especially Saturday (gusts to 35 mph on open water).
We'll start dry out and heat back up by the end of next week.
- Humidity is rapidly returning, and so is the wind.
- Temperatures warming though the weekend.
- Slight morning storm chance this weekend.
- Strong storms possible late Father's day into Monday morning.
- More scattered late day storms Tuesday and Wednesday.
