Blake Shelton: "Encore Drive-In Nights"

The country music superstar brings his act to drive-ins around the country with this show on Saturday night. His fiancee Gwen Stefani, and country music veteran Trace Adkins are also part of the presentation. There are a lot of locations to see the show - but tickets are going quickly.


Where: 6 area locations: Texas Motor Speedway, Coyote Drive-In (Ft Worth), Galaxy Drive-In (Ennis), Brazos Drive-In (Granbury), and Cinema Pop-Ups in Frisco and Mesquite.

When: Saturday, July 25th, 9 p.m.

Dallas Arboretum

The amazingly beautiful Dallas Arboretum is one of the most popular attractions during this time where it seems best to be outdoors. You must reserve your tickets ahead of time in a 4 hour time slot. The Dallas Arboretum is featuring the sculptures of Seward Johnson. The works are titled "Celebrating the Familiar." Also, for a limited time, during the month of July, guests are invited to Twilight Thursdays. These extended-hours time slots will go until 8pm on Thursdays and allow you to enjoy the gardens during the beautiful twilight hours. Tickets must be reserved in advance.

Dallas Comedy House: Virtual Dinner and a Show

For the next two Fridays a group of Dallas Comedy House performers are performing free shows, straight from their houses to your house. The show is free, but you can buy a virtual ticket to support the DCH.

Dallas Pride Celebration

The Dallas Pride Celebration goes virtual in 2020, with events all weekend. Those include a party Saturday night at 9 p.m., a Drag Brunch on Sunday morning at 11 a.m., and a highlight reel of past Pride parades. There are also live streams of entertainers all weekend.

Globe Life Field First Tours

The Rangers open the season this week...and you can't attend games (yet)...but you can still be one of the first to see the new Globe Life Field. The Rangers have small group tours of their new air-conditioned home available every day. You must grab your tickets online in advance, and reserve a specific time to take a look at the new park.

North Texas Soccer Club at Globe Life Park

It's a rare chance to catch an in-person sporting event in North Texas, as North Texas SC opens their 2020 season at their new home, Globe Life Park. The team won USL League One in 2019, and faces Madison on Saturday night. The pro soccer game will be open to limited in-person capacity in accordance with state guidelines.

Parade of Playhouses

This is an incredible opportunity to help abused and neglected children have a safe and permanent home through the work done by Dallas Casa. You can win one of 10 custom designed playhouses by purchasing raffle tickets for $5 each or 5 for $20. Normally all the playhouses are on display at NorthPark Center...but this year it's mostly virtual. There are three playhouses on site at NorthPark to look at (they're placed out of reach).

Tribeca Film Festival Drive-In at AT&T Stadium

The Tribeca Film Festival continues this week at AT&T Stadium. More than 30 films will be shown this month, drive-in style. There are screenings on Thursday through Sunday evenings. This weekend films include: Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, Girls Trip, Bridesmaids, INVASION!, The Lego Movie, Inside Man, Do the Right Thing, Tangled Roots, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and Beetlejuice.

When: Thursday July 23 - 16 (and July 30 - August 2)
