
Here's what's happening in North Texas to celebrate this Weekend!
1. Tamale Festival and Christmas Market
The DFW Tamale Festival and Christmas Market are back. It will include tamale-making of course, as well as Christmas music, vendors, seasonal drinks, and Santa.

2. Santa Day
Sure you can go to the mall, but why not see Santa swoop down via Airbus helicopter! Santa will be landing at the Frontiers of Flight Museum, along with characters from Frozen including Elsa, Anna and Olaf. Kids can get their pictures made, enjoy treats and other crafts.

3. Main Street Fest and Holiday Parade
Enjoy a festive evening in downtown Rowlett with live performances, food trucks and vendors, along with the Annual Lighted Holiday Parade! Tree lighting is at 5:30, the parade starts at 6 p.m.

When: Saturday, December 14th, 3 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.

4. Holiday Lights Parade
If you want to spend your weekend in downtown Arlington the city is hosting its parade Saturday with live music, snow shovel races, and pictures with Santa. The lighted parade starts up at 6 p.m. followed by the lighting ceremony for the 50-foot-tall blue spruce Christmas tree at 7pm.

5. An evening with Chevy Chase and screening of "Christmas Vacation"
If you're a Christmas Vacation fan you're in for a real treat. Not only will you be able to watch the iconic movie at Toyota Music Factory, but Chevy Chase himself will also be there for a Q and A after the screening.

6. BMW Dallas Marathon
If running is your scene you can take part in the BMW Dallas Marathon, and help out Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children at the same time. There are several events throughout the weekend including a half marathon, 10k, 5k, 1-mile "Under the Lights" and more. Thousands are expected to line the streets and cheer people on in the race that's considered the official marathon for the city of Dallas.
