Gas is cheap, so if cabin fever is setting in you can go check out the bluebonnets, as long as you are practicing social distancing.

While many parks and trails are closed because of the coronavirus, there are still places in North Texas where you can experience the beautiful colors of spring.

In Forth Worth, there's the Tandy Hills Natural  Area. In Irving Cottonwood Park is in bloom. There's also a couple of great spots in Plano, one near the J.C. Penney headquarters on Legacy Drive,  another is along the Bluebonnet Trail Greenbelt, just east of where the trail crosses Custer Road.

Clark Gardens Botanical Park in Weatherford is open and just north of McKinney, in Lavon, there's a ton of wildflower at the entrance to Mallard Park.
