Andretti Indoor Karting and Games has opened its latest venue in Grand Prairie, bringing a blend of high-speed thrills and family-friendly entertainment to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This is the tenth location nationwide, with number 11 planned to open in North Fort Worth in September.
"It's a one-of-a-kind place. You can get things here that you can't get anywhere else," said race car driver Jarett Andretti, the son of John Andretti.
Among the standout features are the high-speed electric Superkarts on a multi-level track, state-of-the-art games, laser tag, and a variety of interactive experiences.

"They truly are family entertainment centers where you can come and have a great day with your family," added Andretti. "All that stuff is really secondary to the experience you get with the employees and the service you receive when you come here. And that's really what we're proud about."
Eddie Hamann, Managing Member of Andretti Indoor Karting and Games, highlighted the importance of careful site selection, noting that Grand Prairie met all their stringent criteria.
"We spend enormous amounts of time... we look for cities that share the values of the Andretti family, my values, my partner's values," he stated.
After conducting demographic studies in Grand Prairie starting in 2019 and overcoming the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the location next to popular attractions like Bass Pro Shop and IKEA promises high foot traffic.
"This corner will see about 5 million people a year," Hamann estimated.
Reflecting on their journey, Hamann recalled the company's roots with John Andretti and himself in 1999.
"It takes a long time to perfect the concept and to get to where we are today... we're the only brand that has all these elements under one roof," he pointed out.
The venue offers everything from indoor go-karting to high-tech gaming, creating a comprehensive entertainment experience.
"The fact that we offer about 8,000 square feet of meeting space for corporate events, for birthday parties, all those things make us more attractive than your typical family entertainment center," he added.
Collette Shillcutt, the General Manager at the Grand Prairie location, has been instrumental in bringing the venue to life.
"Hiring the 380 employees that we hired here and training them all, and now finally seeing the fruition of it all coming together," she said.
The local community's anticipation for the opening has been palpable. "I can't go anywhere with this shirt on without someone being excited and asking, you know, when are you gonna get open?" Shillcutt laughed.
For anyone planning to visit, Shillcutt offers practical advice. "Being prepared. I think going online and looking and seeing what we have to offer first so you know what you want to do when you come in here," she recommended.
By allowing guests to pay as they go and explore before committing, the venue ensures an optimal experience for all. "We have tons of very neat fun things to do here... finding out what you wanna do first, what fits for you or your family, and then going from there," she Shillcutt said.
Andretti Indoor Karting and Games is now open at 3750 State Hwy 161 in Grand Prairie.
