There aren’t many things that people in DFW are willing to admit are done better in Houston. However, that rivalry is about to be put to the test with a new sandwich heading to the metroplex. It was announced recently that Antone's Famous Po' Boys, which are beloved in Houston, will be heading to North Texas.

Antone's Famous Po' Boys has been an institution in Houston since the 1960’s, but now almost 60 years since their debut they have decided to expand to North Texas and East Louisiana. The grab-and-go sandwiches will be available at a number of grocery stores, including; Kroger, Tom Thumb, Albertsons, and Market Street Stores. The po’boys will be available in over 100 grocery stores throughout their expanded areas.

According to Dallas Culture Map, Antone's Famous Po' Boys have six sandwiches to choose from; the Original, Super Original, The Piggy, Tuna, Turkey & Swiss and Premium Roast Beef. "We are hoping to provide Antone's to more locations in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex by the end of 2022," said Antone's CEO Craig Lieberman. Maybe this will finally be the thing Houston and DFW can agree on.
