According to multiple reports, Amazon is in talks with Diamond Sports Group, the owner of Bally Sports Southwest, to bail them out.
Under the potential agreement, Amazon would hold the streaming rights for every franchise Bally Sports has broadcasting rights to, including the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars.
This report comes over a month after The Athletic reported that Bally is considering dropping the Rangers and Cleveland Guardians' broadcasts before the season, which would immediately free the clubs to go find TV broadcasting partners elsewhere.
