The Dallas Cowboys may be cursed by Homer Simpson of all people.

At least when it comes to playing the Denver Broncos.

Following Sunday’s 30-16 shellacking by the Broncos, a redditor noticed a quirky connection between these two teams and the long-running cartoon sitcom.

On an episode that aired on Nov. 3, 1996, Homer expressed his lifelong dream was to one day own the Dallas Cowboys. He even purchases Tom Landry’s hat to motivate his workers. But, by the end of the episode, he was gifted the Denver Broncos instead by fictional billionaire Hank Scorpio.

Since that episode, the Broncos gone 7-0 all time against the Dallas Cowboys. The last time Dallas beat Denver was Sept. 10, 1995 — a 31-21 victory.

If that is not enough, the Broncos have won three Super Bowls since Homer became the owner of the team, while the Cowboys have not returned to the big game since, yep, the 1995 season.

The Simpsons are often credited with predicting the future and while this is not a flat-out prediction, there is no denying there has been some eeriness going on between these two teams since this episode aired.

It may, in fact, be the only explanation to explain the 30-16 rout the Cowboys took against a mediocre Broncos team.

Is it just a coincidence, or is there some sort of Simpsons curse on the Cowboys?
