Cowboys release CB Brandon Carr: Report

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have released cornerback Brandon Carr, the team announced Tuesday.

Carr played limited snaps in the three games he appeared in despite the team's struggles in the secondary.

105.3 The Fan's Jeff Cavanaugh believes Carr's release could coincide with the return of cornerback Anthony Brown, who's eligible to come off injured reserve this week. Brown missed the last three games with a rib injury he suffered in Week 1 vs the Rams.

Cavanaugh adds that this might not be the last we've seen of Carr, as the Cowboys could be inclined to re-sign him to their practice squad, and could call him up to the active roster later in the season, if needed.

Dallas wasn't done there as they also made some moves to their offensive line depth, releasing offensive tackle Alex Light. To replace him, Dallas signed offensive tackle Greg Senat off of the Cleveland Browns' practice squad. They also signed offensive tackle William Sweet to their practice squad.
