"Today is another great example of how big wins happen here with the announcement that Dallas will host the 2028 NCAA Men's Basketball Regional and the 2027 NCAA Women's Golf Regional," Monica Paul, executive director of the Dallas Sports Commission, wrote in a statement. "We are excited to showcase the passion Dallas has for March Madness and elite collegiate athletic events, further solidifying our reputation as both the number one sports business city in the nation and a global sports destination."

“Dallas is the premier sports city, for all sports, and we at SMU wanted to continue to grow this message to those around the world by bringing some of the best golfers to our city to compete for a national championship at our premier golf course, Trinity Forest. We are greatly looking forward to the opportunity for SMU and Dallas to continue to host high-level championship experiences for student-athletes from across the country, and look forward to showing off Dallas to any new visitors," SMU Director of Event Operations Tyler Kremzar said.

Texas has the second most events announced Wednesday with 20. Florida has the most with 22.
