The Rangers are World Series champions for the first time in their 52-year franchise history after beating the Diamondbacks 5-0 in Game 5 on Wednesday night to win the best-of-seven series 4-1.

The longtime voice of the Rangers, Eric Nadel, was on the call on 105.3 The Fan and the Rangers Radio Network alongside Matt Hicks and Jared Sandler when Josh Sborz struck out Diamondbacks' second baseman Ketel Marte to clinch the title.

You can listen to Nadel's call in the podcast above.

Nadel, in his 45th year broadcasting games for the club, missed the first 109 games of the regular season to focus on his mental health.

This Rangers Hall of Famer returned in the first week of August and resumed his duties as the lead voice on Rangers radio broadcasts.

Nadel was the 2014 recipient of the Ford C. Fick Award, an award given annually for excellence in broadcasting by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
