ODESSA PERMIAN (1-0) at MESQUITE HORN (1-0)
Permian opened the season with a 47-35 win over Abilene Cooper. Horn held off Richardson Pearce in its opener, 31-24. Charles Demmings preserved the win with a late interception. Horn RB Camden Tyler ran for 191 yards and 2 TD.
WOLFFORTH FRENSHIP (0-1) vs. BURLESON CENTENNIAL (1-0) - at SWEETWATER
Lubbock-area 6A Frenship stumbled in its opener, losing to 5A Lubbock Coronado, 42-14. Burleson Centennial heads out west on I-20 to play their second neutral site game in two weeks. They beat rival Burleson in the "Boot Bowl" at AT&T Stadium, 38-34.
PROSPER (1-0) at 6A #21 EULESS TRINITY (1-0)
Prosper opened with a 27-17 victory over Plano Prestonwood. QB Jackson Berry had two TD passes and ran for a score. Trinity averaged a 2019 playoff loss to Arlington Lamar, 35-28. QB Valentino Foni hit Ollie Gordon with the game-winning TD pass with :28 left. Trinity-Lamar was the first high school football game played at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
FORT WORTH CHISHOLM TRAIL (0-1) at DENTON (0-1) - THURSDAY
Chisholm Trail lost to Keller Timber Creek, 47-3. Denton was held to 92 total yards in dropping its opener to Lake Dallas, 20-3.
RICHLAND (1-0) at FORT WORTH PASCHAL (0-1)
Richland - now the Royals - routed rival Haltom in the opener, 36-3. QB Cole Benson threw for 235 yards and 2 TD. Paschal fell to Granbury last week, 56-20.
FORT WORTH SOUTHWEST (1-0) at HURST L.D. BELL (0-1)
Southwest was impressive in a 36-0 shutout of Saginaw High. L.D. Bell saw the opposite result in its opener, falling to Little Elm, 37-0. The Blue Raiders were held to eight yards passing, with two interceptions.
NORTH CROWLEY (1-0) at THE COLONY (0-1)
North Crowley shut out Crowley, 13-0. RB DeJuan Lacy ran for 112 yards and a TD. The Colony fell to 5A Corsicana, 28-21.
COLLEYVILLE HERITAGE (1-0) at SAGINAW BOSWELL (0-1)
Under new HC Kirk Martin, Colleyville Heritage claimed their second straight victory over Grapevine in the Battle of the Red Rail, 48-24. The Panthers outscored Grapevine 20-0 in the second half at the game played at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Boswell lost to Northwest Eaton, 48-3. Pioneers K Oscar Ronquillo accounted for all their scoring, with a 57-yard field goal.
GRAPEVINE (0-1) at TROPHY CLUB BYRON NELSON (0-1)
Grapevine looks to bounce back from the season-opening 48-24 loss to Colleyville Heritage. Byron Nelson fell to 5A Mansfield Legacy, 31-17. RB Michael Giordano ran for two scores.
DENTON BRASWELL (0-1) at KELLER (0-0)
Braswell fell to Rockwall in a shootout in the opener, 59-40. Braswell QB Tristan McClary had six total TDs in the loss. This is the season opener for Keller High.
KELLER CENTRAL (1-0) at FORT WORTH BREWER (0-1)
Keller Central beat Arlington Sam Houston in a defensive battle, 10-7. Brewer fell to 5A Midlothian, 49-17. RB Montrail Cushionberry ran for 112 yards and a TD.
KELLER TIMBER CREEK (1-0) at BURLESON (0-1)
Timber Creek rolled over FW Chisholm Trail in the opener, 47-3. RB Kaden Bess had 132 total yards and four touchdowns. Burleson lost to rival Burleson Centennial at AT&T Stadium, 38-34.
NORTHWEST EATON (1-0) at MANSFIELD LEGACY (1-0) - THURSDAY
Eaton easily defeated Saginaw Boswell last week, 48-3. QB Branden St. Ama threw for two TDs and ran for another. Legacy took down 6A Trophy Club Byron Nelson in its opener, 31-17. The Legacy defense intercepted four passes last week, including one returned 55 yards for a TD by LB Cameron Wilson.
ROCKWALL-HEATH (1-0) at 6A #7 SOUTHLAKE CARROLL (0-0)
This one could be a shootout, and Rockwall-Heath has plenty of ammo. They beat Lewisville last week, 72-52. RB Zach Evans ran for 137 yards and a TD, while QB Josh Hoover was 20 of 26 for 266 yards and four TDs. The Rockwall-Heath defense allowed 624 total yards to the Fighting Farmers. This is the opener for the Carroll Dragons. They are expected to contend for a state title behind Jr. QB Quinn Ewers, who is committed to the University of Texas.
6A #9 HUMBLE ATASCOSITA (0-0) at 6A #6 ALLEN (1-0)
This highly interesting intersectional non-district matchup features a team from the Greater Houston area playing its season opener on the road in a very hostile environment. The Allen Eagles still have never lost a home game at Eagle Stadium, which opened in 2012. Allen beat Plano East last week, 49-26. Allen rotated two QBs in the opener, with California transfer General Booty and Kansas transfer Jake Wolff each seeing extensive playing time. WR Blaine Green caught two TDs from Wolff.
5AD1 #1 DENTON RYAN (1-0) at 6A #5 DENTON GUYER (1-0)
FIVE STAR MATCHUP
After dominating 6A No. 11 Arlington Martin last week, 5AD1 No. 1 Denton Ryan looks to take down a big school power for the second straight week. QB Seth Henigan was 20 of 30 against Martin for 225 yards and 3 TD. The Ryan Raider defense is a turnover-forcing machine. They reached the end zone with an interception return and a fumble return last week. Denton Guyer beat Hebron in its opener, 56-33. QB Eli Stowers was highly-efficient, as usual. He was 13 of 18 for 199 yards and 2 TD.
LITTLE ELM (1-0) at NORTH FORNEY (1-0)
Little Elm shut out Hurst Bell in the opener, 37-0. QB John Mateer threw for 218 yards and two scores. North Forney shocked 5AD1 No. 2 Frisco Lone Star, 34-31. RB Ty Collins ran for 111 yards and a TD.
FLOWER MOUND MARCUS (1-0) at McKINNEY (1-0)
Marcus rolled to a 48-31 win over Dallas Jesuit. LSU commit QB Garrett Nussmeier was 27 of 39 for 364 yards and four TD in the opener. McKinney stunned Plano, 36-35. After Cameron Rivas scored on a late 82-yard kickoff return for McKinney, RB R.J. Carver (152 yards/two TD) cashed in the game-winning two-point conversion with :33 left. Carver then intercepted a final-second Plano Hail Mary pass to seal the victory.
SACHSE (0-0) at COPPELL (1-0)
This is the season opener for Sachse. Coppell opened with a 36-21 win over Mesquite. RB Jason Ngwu ran for 102 yards and three touchdowns.
FLOWER MOUND (1-0) at GARLAND NAAMAN FOREST (0-0)
Flower Mound slipped by McKinney Boyd, 10-7. This is the season opener for Naaman Forest.
WYLIE (0-1) vs. LEWISVILLE (0-1)
Wylie struggled in its opener, falling to Plano West, 28-0. Lewisville dropped a shootout to Rockwall-Heath, 72-52. RB Damien Martinez ran for 264 yards and five TD, while Lewisville QB Taylen Green accounted for 307 total yards in the loss.
ARLINGTON MARTIN (0-1) at HEBRON (0-1)
Martin looks to bounce back from last week's 47-24 loss to 5AD1 No. 1 Denton Ryan. The Warriors were held to one first down in the first half. Denton Guyer allowed 547 total yards in losing to Denton Guyer, 56-33.
PLANO (0-1) at ROWLETT (0-0) - CANCELED/COVID
UPDATE: According to the Garland ISD, Rowlett has canceled this Thursday's game with Plano and has postponed its Oct. 9 game with Sachse after a positive COVID-19 test in the Rowlett program. The Rowlett-Sachse game was scheduled to be the district opener for both schools, and will be rescheduled.
PLANO EAST (0-1) at LAKE HIGHLANDS (1-0)
Plano East lost to Allen, 49-26. QB Dylan Hayden threw for 233 yards and a TD, and also ran for a score. Lake Highlands defeated 5A Mesquite Poteet last week, 49-20.
NORTH MESQUITE (1-0) at PLANO WEST (1-0)
North Mesquite took down FW Trimble Tech last week, 20-6. Plano West shut out Wylie, 28-0. It was a huge moment for the Plano West program, which posted an overall record of 2-38 from 2016-2019. RB Tabren Yates ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
6A #16 ROCKWALL (1-0) at DALLAS JESUIT (0-1)
After advancing to the state semifinals last season, the high-powered Rockwall offense was again clicking in the opener. They beat Denton Braswell, 59-40. Jr. QB Braedyn Locke had six total TDs. Jesuit fell to FM Marcus, 48-31. Rangers QB Gage Roy threw for 338 yards and two TDs in the loss.
IRVING (0-0) at NORTH GARLAND (0-0)
This is opening week for both the Irving ISD and Garland ISD. Irving looks to snap a 22-game losing streak that dates back to 2017.
IRVING MacARTHUR (0-0) at GARLAND LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL (0-0)
This is the one tuneup opportunity for the Garland schools in 9-6A. They jump right into district play next week.
WYLIE EAST (0-1) at IRVING NIMITZ (0-0)
Wylie East opened with a 49-6 loss to Mount Pleasant. QB Terrell Washington, Jr., ran for 116 yards.
GARLAND (0-0) at RICHARDSON (0-0)
Season opener for both schools.
RICHARDSON BERKNER (0-1) at DALLAS W.T. WHITE (0-0)
Berkner's Rams opened the season with a 39-14 loss to Frisco Lebanon Trail. RB Devin Joshua scored both TDs for Berkner. This is opening week for the Dallas ISD schools.
RICHARDSON PEARCE (0-1) at FRISCO WAKELAND (1-0)
Pearce fell to Mesquite Horn in the opener, 31-24. QB Burke Wahlberg threw for 263 yards and three TD. Wakeland beat Sulphur Springs last week, 38-10. QB Peyton Lewis passed for 225 yards and three scores.
6A #15 CEDAR HILL (0-0) at 6A #22 ARLINGTON (0-0)
This is a solid early-season matchup between schools looking to make deep playoff runs. After traveling to Arlington this week, Cedar Hill will host Allen next week. Arlington's Colts opened with a 37-7 win over Mansfield. RB B.J. Rogers ran for 104 yards and two TD, and also had a TD reception.
ARLINGTON BOWIE (0-0) at MANSFIELD (0-1) - THURSDAY
This is the season opener for Bowie. Mansfield opened with a 37-7 loss to Arlington. QB Hunt Young threw for 124 yards and a TD.
ARLINGTON LAMAR (0-1) at WAXAHACHIE (1-0)
Lamar looks to bounce back after a 35-28 loss to Euless Trinity in the opener. Waxahachie was impressive last week in a 34-7 win over Copperas Cove. Indians RB Shawn Cherry ran for 199 yards and two touchdowns.
FORT WORTH SOUTH HILLS (0-1) at ARLINGTON SAM HOUSTON (0-1)
South Hills fell to Godley in the opener, 47-0. Sam Houston dropped a tight 10-7 decision to Keller Central.
McKINNEY BOYD (0-1) at GRAND PRAIRIE (0-0)
Boyd lost to Flower Mound last week, 10-7. This is the season opener for Grand Prairie.
MESQUITE (0-1) at SOUTH GRAND PRAIRIE (0-0) - THURSDAY
Mesquite lost its opener to Coppell, 36-21. RB Anthony Roberts ran for 100 yards. This is the season opener for South Grand Prairie.
SOUTH GARLAND (0-0) at PRINCETON (0-1)
This is the season opener for South Garland. Princeton dropped its opener to Longview Pine Tree, 55-30. QB Isaiah Sadler threw for 316 yards.
DALLAS SKYLINE (0-0) at LANCASTER (0-0)
This is the season opener for both schools.
6A #12 CONVERSE JUDSON (0-0) at 6A #10 DeSOTO (0-0)
This is a matchup you would expect to see in December, but it's the season opener for these two perennial powers. The Judson Rockets should be a good test for DeSoto, as they prepare for battle in tough 11-6A.
6A #2 DUNCANVILLE (0-0) at SOUTH OAK CLIFF (0-0)
Duncanville was scheduled to open with Fort Worth Nolan Catholic last week, but COVID got in the way. Looking to return to the state title game for the third straight year, the Panthers will be a major test for 5A SOC, which is also playing its season opener.
MANSFIELD SUMMIT (0-0) at MANSFIELD LAKE RIDGE (0-1)
This is the season opener for Summit. Lake Ridge opened with a 28-14 loss to Mansfield Timberview.
EVERMAN (0-1) at AZLE (0-1)
Everman fell to 4A Graham last week, 31-20. Azle lost to Fort Worth All Saints, 70-50. Hornets RB Jacob Lee ran for 218 yards and 2 TD.
WEATHERFORD (0-1) at CROWLEY (0-1)
Weatherford opened with a 70-7 loss to Aledo. Kangaroos Soph. QB Ryan Clark was injured in the opener. Junior Major Youngblood stepped in after the injury. Crowley was held to 15 passing yards in losing to North Crowley, 13-0.
DALLAS WOODROW WILSON (0-0) at FORT WORTH ARLINGTON HEIGHTS (0-0)
Season opener for both schools.
McKINNEY NORTH (0-0) at JUSTIN NORTHWEST (1-0)
Season opener for McKinney North. Northwest came back to beat Frisco Memorial in the opener, 21-20. WR Jak Poe had six receptions for 100 yards and two scores, including the game-winner on a 19-yarder from Jake Strong with :21 left.
FRISCO HERITAGE (1-0) at SAGINAW (0-1)
Heritage opened with a 61-45 win over Prosper Rock Hill. Saginaw fell to FW Southwest, 36-0.
MIDLOTHIAN (1-0) at FORNEY (0-1)
Midlothian rolled to a 49-17 win over FW Brewer last week. Forney fell to Whitehouse, 31-15. Jr. QB Jake White had a TD toss for the Jackrabbits.
MANSFIELD TIMBERVIEW (1-0) at RED OAK (0-1)
Timberview opened with a 28-14 win over 6A rival Mansfield Lake Ridge. Red Oak ran into a buzzsaw in its opener, losing to 5AD2 No. 1 Ennis, 52-21. The Hawks were outgained 602-287. Soph. QB Chris Parson - who led Duncanville in the state championship game last year - threw for 139 yards and a TD.
LAKE DALLAS (1-0) at FRISCO CENTENNIAL (0-1)
Lake Dallas opened with a 20-3 win over Denton. QB Trevor Moon threw for a TD and ran for a TD. Centennial lost to Royse City, 55-38. They ran for 213 yards in the opener, but also allowed 367 yards rushing.
5AD2 #6 WICHITA FALLS RIDER (1-0) at FRISCO INDEPENDENCE (0-1)
Rider, favored to make another deep playoff run in 5AD2, opened with a 42-13 victory over 6A Midland. Independence dropped a tough one to Frisco High, 17-14.
5AD1 #7 FRISCO LONE STAR (0-1) at 5AD2 #2 ALEDO (1-0)
A bit of the luster was taken off this matchup last week, when Lone Star was upset by North Forney, 34-31. Frisco Lone Star was ranked No. 2 in 5AD1 to open the season. Lone Star was held to 237 total yards last week. QB Garret Rangel threw for 198 yards and 2 TDs. Nine-time state champ Aledo just keeps rolling. The Bearcats beat Weatherford, 70-7. Soph. QB Brant Hayden was 10- of 16 for 271 yards and three TD, while all-state, do-everything star Jo Jo Earle ran for two scores.
5AD2 #8 FRISCO (1-0) at FRISCO REEDY (1-0)
Frisco held on for a tough 17-14 win over Frisco Independence in the opener. Reedy opened with a 35-27 win over Frisco Liberty.

Season opener for both schools.
DALLAS LINCOLN (0-0) at DALLAS MOLINA (0-0) - POSTPONED/COVID
Dallas Molina HC Lance Bruner told The Dallas Morning News this week's game was postponed because of potential exposure to individuals infected with COVID-19. He said Molina has no confirmed cases in the program. No makeup date for the game has been announced.

Season opener for both schools.
DALLAS SUNSET (0-0) at DALLAS ADAMSON (0-0) - SATURDAY
MOUNT PLEASANT (1-0) at SHERMAN (0-1)
Mount Pleasant opened with a 49-6 win over Wylie East. Sherman fell to rival Denison in the 122nd "Battle of the Ax," 41-23.
WEST MESQUITE (0-1) at MESQUITE POTEET (0-1)
West Mesquite dropped its opener to 6A Waco, 32-23. Poteet fell to 6A Lake Highlands last week, 49-20.
FORT WORTH NORTHSIDE (1-0) at ARLINGTON SEGUIN (1-0) - CANCELED/COVID
Arlington Seguin canceled this week's game over COVID-19 concerns. Seguin said it may also have to call off its scheduled game with Richardson Berkner on Oct. 8.
FORT WORTH POLY (0-1) at JOSHUA (0-1)
Poly opened with a 27-0 loss to Lake Worth. Joshua fell to FW Northside, 36-29.
SEAGOVILLE (0-0) at FORT WORTH TRIMBLE TECH (0-1)
Season opener for Seagoville. Trimble Tech lost to 6A North Mesquite, 20-6.
FORT WORTH WYATT (0-1) at WILMER-HUTCHINS (0-0)
Wyatt lost to Arlington Seguin, 70-0. This is the season opener for Wilmer-Hutchins.

Season opener for both schools.
4A DALLAS CARTER (0-0) at DALLAS KIMBALL (0-0)
The "Oak Cliff Super Bowl" marks the season opener for both schools. Carter looks to avenge last year's 16-13 loss to Kimball.
DENISON (1-0) at TEXARKANA TEXAS HIGH (1-0)
Denison beat rival Sherman in the "Battle of the Ax," 41-23. Texas High opened with a 41-21 win over Tyler High.
CORSICANA (1-0) at FRISCO LEBANON TRAIL (1-0)
Corsicana was impressive in beating The Colony in the opener, 28-21. Lebanon Trail rolled over Richardson Berkner, 39-14. QB Drew Martin ran for two scores and added a TD pass.
FRISCO LIBERTY (0-1) at GREENVILLE (1-0)
Liberty dropped its opener to Frisco Reedy, 35-27. QB Keldric Luster was outstanding, as he ran for 131 yards and four TDs. Greenville dropped 4A Henderson last week, 34-18.
LUCAS LOVEJOY (1-0) at SULPHUR SPRINGS (0-1)
Lovejoy opened with a 52-22 win over Plano John Paul II. QB R.W. Rucker threw for 296 yards and four TDs. Sulphur Springs lost to Frisco Wakeland, 38-10. QB Kaden Wallace threw for 129 yards and ran for a TD. Sulphur Springs was hurt by three turnovers.
HALLSVILLE (0-1) at PROSPER ROCK HILL (0-1) - CANCELED/COVID
After playing the first varsity game in school history last week (a 61-45 loss to Frisco Heritage), Rock Hill's scheduled game for this week has been called off due to confirmed coronavirus cases at the Prosper school. Hallsville will now face Frisco Memorial, which was originally scheduled to play Sunnyvale. With Sunnyvale scheduled to play four district games in a 19-day period in October, HC John Settle told The Dallas Morning News they decided to back out of the Frisco Memorial game. Frisco Memorial and Hallsville are scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Frisco's Memorial Stadium.
5AD1 #1 ENNIS (1-0) is OFF this week. They opened with a 52-21 win over Red Oak. QB Collin Drake had 265 total yards and three touchdowns.
DECATUR (1-4) at BURKBURNETT (1-3)
Decatur has faced a very tough early schedule. They have lost three straight after falling to 4-0 Glen Rose, 51-27. Decatur's other losses are to 4-0 Argyle, Midlothian Heritage and Graham. Burkburnett picked up their first win last week, defeating 0-5 Vernon, 28-22.
4AD1 #8 SPRINGTOWN (4-1) at GAINESVILLE (1-2)
Springtown has won four straight after last week's 24-17 victory over Midlothian Heritage. Gainesville comes off a 38-28 loss to Alvarado. Their other defeat this season came to 4-0 Caddo Mills.
LAKE WORTH (4-1, 0-0) at WICHITA FALLS HIRSCHI (3-1)
DISTRICT OPENER
Lake Worth is on a three-game win streak. They come off a 27-0 win over 5A FW Poly. The Bullfrogs' only loss this season is to 5-0 Sanger. Hirschi has also won three straight. They defeated 0-5 Vernon last week, 36-7. Midlothian Heritage is the only team to beat Hirschi so far this season.
ALVARADO (2-3, 0-0) at MIDLOTHIAN HERITAGE (3-2, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
After an 0-3 start, Alvarado's Indians have won their last two. They come off a 38-28 win over Gainesville. Midlothian Heritage looks to stop a two-game slide this week. They fell to Springtown last week, 24-17.
WAXAHACHIE LIFE (1-3, 0-0) at 4AD1 #3 WACO LA VEGA (3-1, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Waxahachie Life now finds itself in one of the toughest 4A districts in the state, and they get thrown into the fire right off the bat. Life fell to Texarkana Liberty-Eylau last week, 49-21. Their lone victory this season came over Brownsboro. La Vega had a week off to rest up and tweak things after losing to Argyle on Sept. 18, 35-7.
FORT WORTH WESTERN HILLS (2-2, 2-0) at BENBROOK (1-3, 1-0)
The winner of this one stays unbeaten in 6-4A-1 competition. Western Hills squeaked by FW Castleberry last week, 35-34. Their losses are to West and Lake Worth. Benbrook was off last week, after beating FW Castleberry in the district opener on Sept. 18, 54-14.
KENNEDALE (3-0, 2-0) at FORT WORTH DUNBAR (3-0, 2-0)
Someone will take their first overall loss of the season in this one. Kennedale has posted consecutive shutouts to open 6-4A-1 play. They blanked FW Eastern Hills last week, 50-0. Kennedale allowed 15 total yards in the shutout win. They are averaging 49.0 points per game this season. Dunbar continued their unbeaten start with a 51-7 win over FW Carter-Riverside. Dunbar is allowing 7.0 ppg this season.
ANNA (1-4, 0-1) at PARIS (3-2, 0-1) - ANNA WINS BY FORFEIT
COVID-19 hit Paris High School at an especially unfortunate time, causing them to forfeit their first two district games against Melissa and Anna. Anna's Coyotes pick up their first district win of the season by default.
4AD1 #7 MELISSA (5-0, 1-0) at 4AD1 #1 ARGYLE (4-0, 0-0)
After steamrolling to a 5-0 start, Melissa's Cardinals have a major measuring stick game this week. Argyle is ranked No. 1 in 4AD1, and has not been challenged so far this season. The Eagles come off a bye week, after routing Waco La Vega on Sept. 18, 35-7. Argyle is averaging 44.5 ppg, but that's with the offensive starters usually being pulled early. Melissa will need a big performance from QB Sam Fennegan in this one.
CARROLLTON RANCHVIEW (0-2, 0-1) at KAUFMAN (1-4, 1-0)
Ranchview dropped their district opener to Terrell, 44-0. After getting a late jump on the season because of local COVID restrictions, they are averaging seven points per game so far this season. Kaufman edged Anna in their district opener, 24-21. RB Braxton Garmon ran for 163 yards and a TD.
CELINA (1-3) vs. BOERNE (3-2) - CANCELED
This intersectional matchup originally scheduled for this Friday at San Antonio's Alamodome was called off and will not be rescheduled.
FERRIS (2-2) at BRIDGEPORT (1-3)

Sanger is a heavy favorite to remain unbeaten this week. They come off a 54-6 win over 0-5 Venus. RB Tallyn Welborn continued his roaring start, rushing for 184 yards and four TDs. Vernon lost to Burkburnett last week, 28-22. They are averaging 10.6 ppg this season.
GODLEY (3-2) at AUBREY (4-1)
Godley stopped a two-game losing streak with a 47-0 win over 5A FW South Hills. Aubrey suffered its first defeat of the season, falling to 4-0 Caddo Mills, 50-28. RB Braylon Colgrove ran for 147 yards and a TD.
KRUM (1-2) at VENUS (0-5)
Krum has been idle the past two weeks. They lost to Farmersville, 33-31, on Sept. 11. Venus comes off a 54-6 loss to 5-0 Sanger. WR Ismael Lucio was a bright spot last week for Venus. He had 120 yards receiving, including a 74-yard TD reception for their only score.
GRAPEVINE FAITH CHRISTIAN (1-0) at NEVADA COMMUNITY (1-3)
Grapevine Faith dominated Dallas Bishop Dunne in their opener, 56-0. Nevada Community defeated Bridgeport for its first victory of the season, 42-13.
DALLAS ROOSEVELT (0-0) at QUINLAN FORD (3-0)
This is the season opener for Roosevelt. Ford will be in action for the first time since Sept. 11.
BOWIE (2-2, 0-1) at PILOT POINT (3-1, 1-0)
Bowie dropped its district opener to Brock, 79-0. Pilot Point opened district play with a 53-30 win over Peaster.
PARADISE (3-1, 0-1) at 3AD1 #1 BROCK (4-0, 1-0)
Paradise fell to 4-0 Boyd last week, 42-13. Brock rolled over Bowie in its district opener, 79-0. The Eagles ran for 573 last week, led by Cash Jones (190/2 TDs) and Kutter Wilson (181/2 TDs). Brock is averaging 60.5 ppg this season.
PEASTER (3-1, 0-1) at PONDER (2-2, 0-1)
Peaster lost to Pilot Point last week, 53-30. Ponder fell to Whitesboro, 22-6.

Life Oak Cliff lost its district opener to Whitney, 36-21. West comes off a bye week, and will open play this week in 7-3A-1.
MAYPEARL (4-1, 0-1) at DALLAS MADISON (0-0) - SATURDAY
Maypearl took its first loss last week, falling to Grandview, 56-13. This is the season opener for Madison, which jumps right into district play.
WHITNEY (2-3, 1-0) at 3AD1 #2 GRANDVIEW (4-0, 1-0)
Whitney is coming off a 36-21 win over Dallas Life Oak Cliff in the district opener. Two-state defending state champion Grandview rolled to a 56-13 win over Maypearl. RB Gavin Leftwich ran for 146 yards with three scores. Sr. QB Dane Jentsch threw for 143 yards and three touchdowns, and also ran for 105 yards.
2AD2 #3 WELLINGTON (4-0) vs. VALLEY VIEW (0-4) - at WICHITA FALLS CITY VIEW
Small-school Panhandle power Wellington is off to another hot start. They slipped by 3A Jacksboro last week, 8-6. Valley View lost to 2A Muenster, 46-0.
CORSICANA MILDRED (2-3, 0-1) at PALMER (4-1, 0-1)
Corsicana Mildred looks to snap a two-game losing streak. They lost to Blooming Grove in the district opener, 14-6. Palmer dropped a stunner to Rice in overtime, 29-28.
RICE (2-3, 1-0) at DALLAS GATEWAY CHARTER (3-1, 0-0)
Despite going into last week's game against Palmer as a huge underdog, Rice pulled off the shocker in overtime, 29-28. Rice has won two straight. This is the district opener for Gateway Charter, which was idle last week.
RIO VISTA (4-1, 0-1) at ITASCA (1-2, 0-1)
Rio Vista fell to Bosqueville in its district opener, 31-21. Itasca lost its 7-2A-1 opener to Hamilton, 70-14.
KERENS (1-4, 0-0) at DAWSON (3-2, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Kerens dropped a tough one to Chilton last week, 6-0. Kerens is allowing 11 points per game this season. Dawson rolls into this week off a 55-0 win over Hubbard.
ITALY (4-0, 0-0) at MARLIN (1-2, 0-0)
