The 2023 season will be the Longhorns' final year in the Big 12 and they kick it off Saturday, hosting Rice in Austin.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian said he believes his offensive line will be a strength of this year's team because his young unit from last season has a year of additional playing time: linemen like Kelvin Banks, Cole Hudson, and Hayden Connor along with veteran Christian Jones.

Sarkisian said he expects his line to defend quarterback Quinn Ewers and to open holes for the Longhorns' stable of running backs. Sarkisian appeared on KRLD Thursday night for the season-opening edition of Longhorn Weekly with the Voice of the Longhorns Craig Way.

KRLD is the Home of the 'Horns. You can hear Saturday's game with the pregame show beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by kickoff at 2:30.
