Add Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey to the growing list of stars looking to team up with Jeff Bezos to buy the Washington Commanders.

Bezos, the founder of internet powerhouse Amazon and owner of The Washington Post, has already enlisted the help of hip-hop mogul and former Brooklyn Nets owner Jay-Z in his reported bid to buy the Commanders.

Now Bezos is reportedly recruiting McConaughey, a lifelong Washington Redskins fan who has been chummy with current Commanders owner Dan Snyder in the past, to join in his efforts to seize Washington.

McConaughey, 53, is joining the Jeff Bezos/Jay-Z-led contingent vying to buy the Washington Commanders, a source told The New York Post.

"Matthew has always been a huge fan and his ties with the team go way back," the source told the NY Post. "They support his foundation and he's good pals with Dan Snyder — he and [supermodel wife Camila Alves] were on Dan's yacht over the Super Bowl last year."

Local D.C. reporter Ben Standig has confirmed McConaughey's interest in helping to buy the team.
