The Kevin Durant trade market remains in flux, but at least one team is aggressively pursuing the Brooklyn Nets star.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Miami Heat are the “most determined” team to land Durant, but the Heat, as well as the Phoenix Suns, will likely need a third or even fourth team involved in order to complete a trade.

The Heat fell one game short of reaching the NBA Finals this past season, falling to the Boston Celtics in seven games. Wojnarowski noted that Miami should ask itself would they still be a championship contender based on how much they would have to give up for Durant?

The Toronto Raptors are another team that has been mentioned when it comes to Durant trade rumors, but they face some obstacles, too.

Per Wojnarowski, Scottie Barnes — the 2021 Rookie of the Year — remains a “non-starter” in any trade discussion with Durant.

“There certainly has been no progress there with Toronto,” Wojnarowski said on NBA Today. “This is a process that is going to continue and may continue beyond Summer League.”
