The Dallas Stars defeated the Minnesota Wild 4-2 to even the series 1-1. Host Gavin Spittle praised goaltender Jake Oettinger’s performance, noting that Minnesota could have led 3-1 in the first period if not for Oettinger’s key saves.

Spittle said the Stars' scoring first was significant for energizing the crowd and highlighted the team's physicality. He also addressed Nick Foligno’s comments regarding the Stars' ability to compete at five-on-five. Looking ahead to Game 3, Spittle said he wants to see Michael Bunting in the lineup and noted the significant improvement Nils Lundkvist has made since last year's postseason.
