The LSU women have won their first-ever national basketball championship, downing Iowa in Sunday's title game at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
Former Baylor coach Kim Mulkey took over the LSU program last year and this year she did what no one else in school history has done.
Mulkey also becomes the first Division I women's coach to win the title at two schools, having won three NCAA Division I crowns at Baylor -- in 2005, 2012 and 2019.
