An Arlington man is locked up after surrendering to police last night -- ending an hours-long SWAT stand-off that began when with gunfire
Thursday morning. Arlington police it started about 9 a.m. when a neighbor found the man's dog injured in the street.
He picked up the dog and, according to police, the dog's owner fired a shot -- apparently thinking the neighbor had hurt the dog.
The shooter retreated into his home and that's where he holed up all day after Arlington police -- including the SWAT team -- was called in.
They negotiated with him all day and finally -- just before 7 p.m. -- he gave it up and was taken to jail.
