American has just invested $100 million dollars in a collaborative effort to accelerate the clean energy technologies necessary for achieving a net zero economy by 2050, according to reports.
Breakthrough Energy Catalyst describes itself as a first-of-its-kind model that brings together companies, governments, and private philanthropy to accelerate the adoption of critical, next generation clean technologies.
Currently, fossil fuels are cheaper to buy, so with this investment, the hope is that it will be part of the effort to make green carbon economy more affordable.
