Liquor-maker Bacardi claims it is missing $65,000 worth of cognac, and the company is blaming American Airlines.

Bacardi says it recently shipped a cargo of cognac from France to Los Angeles and when the American Airlines plane landed in California, six pallets were missing. That's more than 400 cases, each one worth more than $150.

In lawsuit filings, Bacardi says American is responsible because the missing liquor was "in the possession, custody and control" of American Airlines.
