One of DFW’s favorite food trucks is taking their business to the next level.
Cuates Kitchen, which has been traveling around DFW serving food since 2018, will open their first brick & mortar location. The restaurant will be located at 3811 Fairmount St and is expected to open this month.
Twins Carlos and Carla Rodriguez first opened their food truck after friends and family who had tried their food encouraged them to do so. Now, after the rest of DFW have given their authentic Veracruz-style food a try, they are ready to open their first restaurant.
Cuates Kitchen will take over the space previously occupied by the short-lived restaurant Modest Rogers, according to Dallas Culture Map.
"We'll continue to do the truck, but we started to reach a point where we were expanding beyond the food truck and needed more room to operate,” said Carlos Rodriguez. The duo, who won "Best Traditional Taco" at the Tacolandia festival in 2019, hopes to launch the new restaurant by mid-to-late May. Soon, DFW may have a new favorite restaurant.
