Dallas-based 7-Eleven is repeating it's 2020 plan for celebrating its anniversary this year.
For years, the convenience store chain has observed it's ceremonial birthday by giving away free Slurpees on July 11th - or 7/11. But because of the Coronavirus, last year was different.
Instead of one day, the free Slurpees were available any day in July to keep everyone from crowding around the Slurpee machines in one 24-hour period.
And they're doing so again this year, beginning today. But there are a few things to keep in mind.
Starting today, 7-Eleven is adding a free Slurpee coupon to the accounts to members of its loyalty app called 7Rewards. If you don't have the app, you can download it any day this month and they'll give you the virtual coupon.
