The Dallas Stars are going all out at the club's Noche Mexicana celebration on Wednesday, March 2 during the matchup with the Los Angeles Kings.

Noche Mexicana will include performances by vocalist Monica Saldivar and the dance program Mexico 2000 Ballet Folklorico. Custom Dallas Stars quesadillas will be featured during Party on the PNC Plaza, and the first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a Lucha Libre mask (inspired by Mexican free-wrestling lore), courtesy of Germania Insurance.

With more than one million Hispanic people living in Dallas County alone - Al Montoya, Director of Community Outreach with the Stars, who spent a decade as a goalie in the NHL, knows how important it is to reach the community with the fun of hockey.

"Being the first Cuban American to play in the National Hockey League, it brings me so much joy to see that we are taking the right steps, and we are going to continue to engage this community," Montoya said.

The Stars will wear jerseys with colors of the Mexican flag during pregame warmup, to be auctioned off, benefitting Mi Escuelita Preschool and The Concilio.

The Noche Mexicana theme will be integrated into the team's game entertainment.

"It's a day to celebrate the vibrant and wonderful culture," said Montoya. "There will be a bunch of fun surprises during the game as well."

PNC Party on the Plaza begins at 5:30 p.m. Stars warmups on the ice start at 7:00 p.m., and the game starts at 7:30 p.m.
