Many throughout DFW were disappointed back in November when local favorite, Luby’s, announced they would be closing their doors for good. Now, the closing date for the Texas-based cafeteria chain has been revealed. According to filings made with the SEC, all remaining Luby’s locations will be closed by the end of the fiscal year in August.

Luby’s Inc., which also owns another DFW favorite Fuddruckers, adopted a plan of "liquidation and dissolution" and will sell off their assets with proceeds being distributed to shareholders. According to Dallas Culture Map, the sale of Luby’s is expected to generate $3.82 for each share. While the restaurant chain has been closing locations throughout the state, there are still 10 remaining locations in DFW.

Many fans are hoping those locations remain open until August, however no official word has been given on if any more locations will close before that date. Luby’s has been a local favorite for years and will be missed by many. Luckily there is still time to get a few more 4pm dinners before they close for good.
