There isn’t much Texans like seeing more than their state landing on a best of list. It seems every time a study is done to find the best in the country for any particular category, at least one Texas city makes the cut.
Now, the latest viral list to come out named the 15 most ambitious U.S. cities, and of course a DFW suburb made the list.
According to Go.Verizon.com, who commissioned the study on the country’s most ambitious towns, Frisco, Texas is one of the most hard working, and business-friendly cities in America.
Frisco ranked eighth on the list, based on Average household income unemployment rate, percentage of people with at least a bachelor's degree, number of applications to start a business, percentage of population that starts a business and Homeownership rate.
The study looked at cities with at least 100,000 residents and used data from the 2019 U.S. Census, according to Dallas Culture Map.
“Business owners in the city provide plenty of places for citizens to spend all that cash — Frisco has video game museums, vintage automobile collections, and outdoor concert venues,” the study said of Frisco. Only one other Texas city made the list; Sugarland. Now, there is one more reason why Texas is the best.
