It's probably just a one-month blip but the February cold snap slowed down the raging North Texas housing market.
The Texas Real Estate Research Center says sales of single-family homes slipped by about 8 percent last month.
This was the area's first year-over-year dip in home-buying since the early months of the Coronavirus outbreak when lockdowns kept would-be buyers at home.
Likewise, closings hit the skids last month because everyone stayed home due to icy roads, frigid weather and a week of power outages. But most of those closings were simply re-scheduled for this month so the next time the numbers come out there should be a strong re-bound.
