Former Houston Texans superstar J.J. Watt is offering to help a Houston family's funeral expenses after learning one of his fans was offering to sell her Watt Texans jersey and a pair of Watt edition athletic shoes.
The woman whose Twitter page identifies her as a teacher and a fan of the Astros and Texans, says her grandfather died recently and the family is struggling to put together money to pay the funeral home.
After seeing her tweet offering to sell her jersey and shoes, Watt, who now plays for the Arizona Cardinals, replied saying: "Don’t sell your shoes and jersey, we’ll help with the funeral. I’m sorry for your loss."
