Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker is taking on a 'side hustle' as Chief of Staff for the Cook Children's hospital network.
She's due to start the new job on July 17th. Parker speaks about Cook Children's history of working to "improve infant and maternal health outcomes."
Being mayor is viewed as a part-time job in Fort Worth. It pays $29,000 a year.
