Fort Worth Star-Telegram reporters will be walking the picket line after calling a strike Monday.

The reporters' union members picketed yesterday and used social media to get out their side of the issue.

In August, the union filed an Unfair Labor Practices complaint with the National Labor Relations Board.

The union accuses the Sacramento, California-based McClatchy company, the Star-Telegram parent company, of failing to bargain in good faith leading to this strike.

Reporter Kaley Johnson, vice president of the Fort Worth NewsGuild, says the company is recruiting non-union journalists to provide full coverage of local news and the jobs will be posted today.

The Star-Telegram NewsGuild has 23 members and 21 of them went on strike.
