While Tuesday's disappointing inflation numbers are bad enough they're even worse for North Texas.
Nationwide, August inflation was up to 8.3% even though there's been a decline in gasoline prices.
Other goods and services like shelter and food rose by double digits. But analysis from WalletHub shows only four major cities have higher inflation than the Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington region.
WalletHub's formula assigns a two-digit number to each region's inflation rate. The combined Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington number is 69. Only four regions are higher including Miami, Tampa, Atlanta and Phoenix - which tops the list at 92.
Houston comes in tenth at 62.
